Hello friends. Recently we announced that Steve was leaving the band and it's time to announce another departure. Matt Turner has decided to leave not only the band but the country. He's packing up his troubles and farking orf to a land of sunshine and lager. (Australia, yeah?). Truth is we don't know what's going to happen with the band. It might be the end, it might not. It certainly won't be the same and if we do continue we're not sure we could call it the same thing. I'm rambling now so I'll try to be concise... 1. Thank you for liking us and even bigger thank you if you've come to see us play. We've had SO much fun over the last few years. 2. Eyes peeled, we are trying our damndest to arrange a final gig for late April. Love, Bennies x

Hello everyone. It is with a heavy heart that I tell you this. Steve Galloway, Special Benny's special drummer, has decided to leave the band. Not because he hates the rest of us and not because we touch him in a bad way. It's an amicable split and the phrase 'musical differences' hasn't cropped up once (until just then). Anyway, Steve's last gig with us will be this Wednesday in Croydon so do please come along and help us say goodbye through the medium of jazz-metal. x

Special Benny seem to have been energised by the sunshine and we'll be spending next weekend laying the foundations of the next ep, working title 'Inspector Sands', which is shaping up to beat the shit out of Rumblestrip. Then the following weekend it's Glastonbenny. Yes. The flyer says it all. These are gonna be some great shows. All of them either cheap or free. Come along.

Apologies to any who was disappointed by our foxfest cancellation. Mr.Turner came down with a nasty bit of food poisoning and we really had no alternative. You'll be pleased to know that Mr.Turner Overdrive is feeling a lot better now.
