The album is called 'Toys' and will released by the lovely people at Proper Songs in 2010. The single is 'Air Filter' and is released on digital download on 23rd November. Mat Pringle has done some lovely artwork for it and everything. Go to our music page or myspace to stream it NOW! Woowee.

Album coming.

We don't know what to call it but we have finished mixing an album which gathers together a bunch of recordings stretching all the way back to the beginning of Special Benny and also including newer material like 'Air Filter' and 'Croydon' which have been part of our live set for a while now.

The album will be released by the Proper Songs record label and will be available on i-tunes and a limited run of CDs.

Hello friends. Recently we announced that Steve was leaving the band and it's time to announce another departure. Matt Turner has decided to leave not only the band but the country. He's packing up his troubles and farking orf to a land of sunshine and lager. (Australia, yeah?). Truth is we don't know what's going to happen with the band. It might be the end, it might not. It certainly won't be the same and if we do continue we're not sure we could call it the same thing. I'm rambling now so I'll try to be concise... 1. Thank you for liking us and even bigger thank you if you've come to see us play. We've had SO much fun over the last few years. 2. Eyes peeled, we are trying our damndest to arrange a final gig for late April. Love, Bennies x

Hello everyone. It is with a heavy heart that I tell you this. Steve Galloway, Special Benny's special drummer, has decided to leave the band. Not because he hates the rest of us and not because we touch him in a bad way. It's an amicable split and the phrase 'musical differences' hasn't cropped up once (until just then). Anyway, Steve's last gig with us will be this Wednesday in Croydon so do please come along and help us say goodbye through the medium of jazz-metal. x
